See your website next to a competitor’s
The way a customer sees it on a phone: the same checks on both sites, in plain English, with the time each result was measured. Free, no signup.
What we check
Both sites get the identical test: a mobile speed run on Google PageSpeed Insights and one short visit from our bot to the page you enter (usually your homepage). Every row of the report names the tool and when it measured. Rows we can’t measure on both sites are left out of the count.
Speed on a phone Google PageSpeed Insights, mobile
- Mobile speed score
- Google’s 0–100 performance score for a load on a test phone. 90 or more is good.
- Main content shows after
- Seconds until the biggest image or text block at the top appears (Largest Contentful Paint). Google calls 2.5 s or less good.
- Layout shift while loading
- How much the page jumps around while it loads (Cumulative Layout Shift). 0.1 or less is good.
- Response to taps (real visitors)
- How fast the page reacts to taps for real Chrome visitors over the last 28 days (Interaction to Next Paint). Google calls 200 ms or less good. Many small sites have too few visits for Google to report it; then the row says so and doesn’t count.

Questions
Does the competitor find out?
We never contact them or tell them who ran the check. Google’s speed test also loads their page once, from Google’s servers. Our bot makes up to three requests to their public site and names itself as SiteMatchup, so a visit can show up in their server logs, but not who asked for it. Your report stays private: its link is unlisted and search engines are told not to show it.
Is it free?
Yes. The full report is free, with no signup and no email. BYBOWU builds websites, so under the report you can ask us for a written quote to fix what it finds. That is optional.
How long does it take?
Google loads each site on a test phone, so it isn’t instant. The report fills in row by row as each check really finishes; there is no pretend progress bar.
Why does a row say “Couldn’t measure” or “Not checked”?
“Couldn’t measure” means the site didn’t answer in time or blocked the test. “Not checked” means its robots.txt asks bots like ours not to visit, or we couldn’t read that file, so we stayed away. Either way the row is left out of the count and never counts against either site.
What do you keep, and for how long?
The two addresses, the results and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address, which we use for rate limits. Free reports are deleted after 90 days; if you attach one to a quote request or buy a Fix Pack, we keep it 13 months. We only get your email if you buy a Fix Pack. Google Analytics and ad tracking run only if you accept cookies. Either way, we keep our own count of visits and matchups, without cookies. There is no account.
Can I stop my own site from being checked?
Yes. Email [email protected] from an address at your domain and we’ll exclude it. The about page explains exactly what our bot fetches.
